Majestic Collision proudly celebrating over 20 years in operation

Majestic Collision is proudly celebrating over 20 years in operation, reflecting on 
past experience and success, while focusing its sights on a future set with goals of 
continued quality service and increased collision repair awareness for drivers. 

Steven Frizzell represents the second generation of the business and is every bit 
the qualified auto body technician he needs to be to run the shop that his mother, 
Adele, and his late stepfather, Don Ferraro, created back in 1991. 

Cars have changed a lot in these twenty years and Majestic has rolled right along 
with the times. This anniversary year also has Majestic Collision celebrating its 10th 
year in its tailor-made facility: a 10,000 square foot area of workstations designed 
specifically for Majestic as a body shop

. The work flows through the areas effectively as all procedures related 
to collision repair are carried out efficiently within the space, vehicles passing 
through specialist hands, assuring quality work. Youll find the modern, hangar-like 
shop at 749 Imperial Road North, just off of Woodlawn, so very accessible for those

The Majestic team consists of experienced body repair technicians who are trained 
in heavy collision and frame repair and others who are specialized in paint 
application, while Frizzell and his mother, Adele, work on the front line in customer 
service, they hold the whole shop together. 

“You are not just a number,” Ferraro says. “Customer service is very important for 
us.” 
Ferraro is the person you will likely speak to when you call in about estimates or to 
make appointments, and once at the shop, your case is undertaken by expert 
professionals ready to walk you through every step of the repair and process, 
which can be very daunting to those of us who are not mechanically informed or 
inclined. 

“We encourage questions and make sure that we explain our work clearly to the 
customers so theres no confusion,” Frizzell says, they treat every vehicle that they 
repair as if it were their own and every customer as if they were family. “ 

“My family has worked really hard to serve the customers and the community,” 
Frizzell says, “We stand behind our work and as a preferred shop of many 
dealerships, insurance companies and local businesses, we take those 
relationships and the customers sent to us through them very seriously.” 

“Being involved in a collision is an unpleasant situation, so we take a lot of care 
and pride into making sure our customers experience with us is pleasant as 
possible”. Frizzell says. 

The Majestic shop is also committed to longevity and invests in its business 
through innovation and technology. It is equipped with a down draft spray booth, 
an environmentally friendly machine that with filtered hot air, bakes the paint onto 
your car, curing it for exposure to our harsh elements. Not to mention a Frame 
Machine, web based estimating software and even an indoor drive-thru appraisal 
area (for inclement weather). 

Frizzell says the fact that his family business is a recommended shop by many 
Guelph and area dealerships is a testament to the strong relationships that have 
been built over the years on mutual trust and confidence in Majestics expertise 
and delivery of quality service. 

Even still, Frizzell works hard to reach prospective customers and deal with them 
one on one. This is something that provides a constant challenge in this business, 
he explains, because the general public isnt always aware of the range of services 
available to them upon collision repair 
time. 

Frizzell stresses that Majestics quality service is founded on its honesty, and 
urges the public to be inquisitive about what your insurance companies are telling 
you about collision repair and to not be dissuaded from shopping around and 
deciding yourself which shop will do your bodywork. 

“We warranty our work” Frizzell says, “It is always the collision shop that 
guarantees the repair (it does on your vehicle), not the insurance company and 
you are entitled by law to take your car to whatever collision centre you choose.” 

Frizzell says that despite the protocol of insurance companies recommending 
preferred shops, the client is not obliged to use them. 

“Dont be misled,” Frizzell says, “it is your right to have the work done where you 
want.” 

Also, a common trend emerging recently, is that people want to avoid insurance 
companies altogether when it comes to smaller collisions. They prefer to pay out of 
pocket to avoid an increase to their insurance premiums as well as any deductible 
they may have. “You don’t have to go through your insurance company” Frizzell 
says, “We make that easier by ensuring customers get the best value possible 
without jeopardizing the quality of the repair.” 

Frizzell warns drivers to take extra care in driving during the winter season, but 
that if an accident should occur, give Majestic a call; free estimates are standard as
