Tea Party Idea: Use Fancy Nancy Party Supplies

There are so many little girls out there who absolutely love being tea party hostesses. So, rather than throwing a traditional tea party, why not incorporate Fancy Nancy Party Supplies into these tea party plans and preparations?
These party decorations don’t need to be limited to just birthday parties, or Halloween parties. Just because there are costumes involved, that doesn’t mean it won’t work for a tea party. Think about how Fancy Nancy dresses, and you’ll agree with me that it’s perfect for a tea party.

Fancy Nancy is a little girl who loves to dress fancy and use big words. You and your daughter can create your own Fancy Nancy invitations. Inside the invitations, write something like this:

Ooh la la. (your daughter’s name) is having a Soiree. As Nancy would say,”That’s a fancy word for party”. Dress in your fanciest attire and join her for a fabulous tea party fit for a Queen.

Your colors for this theme are going to be hot pink and purple(Nancy’s favorite color). Tie hot pink, white, and purple balloons on the mailbox to alert your guest as to where the party is located.

When shopping for Fancy Nancy party supplies, add in some other elements to help make this tea party memorable and unique. Rather than handing out traditional goodie bags, consider picking up mini cardboard purses and filling them with goodies. Rather than using a plain white disposable tablecloth, pick up a piece of floral fabric or use a floral sheet as the tablecloth instead.

Consider picking up a few linen napkins, too, for added party appeal. These are frequently on clearance at stores like Pier 1 Imports, Kohl’s, and Walmart. Sometimes you have to do a little digging, though, to find the really good bargains. Don’t be afraid to really hunt around!

On the invitations, ask that all the guests attend wearing Fancy Nancy type costumes, or with at least a floppy hat and some linen gloves. If you have some of these things in your dress up trunk or Halloween costume stash, put them out on the couch for guests to pick from and play with. That way, if someone doesn’t show up with a costume or forgets, they won’t feel left out.

If it’s okay with the parents of the guests, ask ahead of time if the girls can play with some make up and nail polish as well. If so, set these things out on a separate table with mirrors, tissues, costume jewelry, hair brushes, and combs.

Setting up your tea party with the Fancy Nancy party supplies and decorations is going to be a team effort. This is particularly true if you’re throwing an afternoon party. Break out some of your sparkly Christmas decorations, like the beaded or sliver garland that would easily couple as another type of party decoration.

String up white lights throughout the party area, as well as the garland. If this party is thrown in the spring, walk through your yard (if you have one) and pick wild flowers (dandelions count, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise) and arrange them in champagne glasses throughout the table where the tea party’s food is placed.

The rest of the Fancy Nancy party supplies can be featured on the main food table, as well as throughout the rest of the party area. Consider setting out two or three disposable cameras so the guests can take pictures of each other throughout the entire event. Don’t forget to use your own camera, as well as a video camera to capture these lovely memories. Consider picking up Fancy Nancy and tea party themed scrapbook supplies to create a memory book, scrapbook, or embellished photo album after all the pictures are developed following the party.
